THE BUILDING : You will be staying in the popular Chamois Blanc Building conveniently located opposite the ChamSud bus station, close to the Aiguille du Midi lift station.
INSIDE : In this one-bedroom apartment you will find everything needed to enjoy your stay. The entrance opens into a small hallway with handy storage space. There is a small but well-equipped kitchenette off the hallway which looks out over the open living/dining area with a dining table for up to 4 people, a sofa and single sofa bed. Tri-folding doors separate the lounge from the bedroom. The bedroom has a double bed. The newly renovated bathroom has a walk-in shower and a bidet.
OUTSIDE : You can enjoy an apero on the balcony, overlooking the Mont Blanc range or use the large communal garden behind the building. A couple of minutes away is the popular and lively ChamSud pedestrian area, with practical shops during the day and busy nightlife later on.
GREAT LOCATION : You couldn’t be anymore central, with easy access to everything Chamonix has to offer: great for taking advantage of some of the local bars and après ski. Just a stone’s throw away are plenty of local shops including ski hire, supermarkets, bakers, launderettes, restaurants & clubs. If you’re planning a ski day, then it’s an easy walk to the bus stops.
GETTING AROUND : The main bus stops are in front of the residence with services up and down the valley, and the Aiguille du Midi train station is a few minutes away providing trains from Saint Gervais le Fayet to Vallorcine and Switzerland. Chamonix Holidays will provide your group with tourist cards/Carte d’hotes which give you free use of the trains and buses in the valley, plus discounts at the pool and entry to museums. A night bus also runs from Argentiere to Les Houches and costs 2€ per person.
USEFUL BITS : Leave your skis in the private ski locker on the basement level, ready for the following morning.
YOUR ARRIVAL : You will need to collect keys from the key box outside the ChamServe office, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the residence. Once you have collected the keys, you will have a badge to enter the residence from the main road or from the garden side at the back of the building.
